Back For A Bit

I know I haven't been updating my blog for a while and should start posting more stuff again. I have gotten tired of doing it.. but today I'm bored so I'm back LOL. I mainly just do this out of boredom at home. My kids are still asleep and there wasn't much going on on Facebook, my new addiction.

Hmmm.. what to talk about....... Ok, next month will be a very hectic but exciting month for us. On Oct. 3, Janet and I will be celebrating our birthdays together and will be hanging out some place downtown with close friends (bonding time with the girls!). Oct. 9 is my actual birthday and I will be celebrating it just with my family. I'm actually looking forward to it since it will be Kaezee's first and I love hanging out with my three boys. The next day, Oct. 10, my two kids and I will be flying to Chicago. I'll be leaving the kids at my parents place for a week so Brian and I can celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary in Cancun, Mexico and then head to Las Vegas. It will be my second time to Vegas but I'm actually more excited now since the first time we went we had Kyle and we didn't get to enjoy Sin City much. I also will be meeting my husband's weather buddies which is exciting though am a bit nervous. I'll be doing lots of flying in one week so hopefully I don't get too worn out. And also, wish me good luck since I'll be flying to and from Chicago with my two boys without any help. Hope they behave for mommy and won't give me a hard time.

Ok gottta go now, my 2-month old baby is now awake and crying. Ciao!

3D/4D Ultrasound

Had a 3D/4D ultrasound of my baby today and it was an amazing experience. We were able to see our baby's features clearly for the first time. He looked just like Kyle when he was a newborn. The technician took pictures and recorded a video on DVD for us to keep. The baby moved so much but kept covering his face with his hand and feet so the technician shook my belly and spanked his little butt a bit so he would move his hand and foot away from his face.. baby's got his first spanking :D. It was fun watching him make faces.

Two more months!

Zurich, SWITZERLAND --- Our Fave!

Of the many cities in 14 countries we've visited or lived in, Zurich in Switzerland was our most favorite city. There's not many historic sites or hi-tech structures to see but when you're here you'll feel like you are seeing everything. It's a modern city but you are still surround by beautiful nature.

Like in Rome, we spent 3 nights /3 days in Zurich. It was the most relaxing trip we ever did. We were able to see their main attractions, mostly old churches, then took a relaxing ride on a cruise ship on the lake in just half a day so we had lots of time to stroll around the city and shop/window-shop especially along Bahnhofstrasse, long considered to be one of the world's premier shopping streets. I was able to buy me another Louis Vuitton bag ;) from a very nice, 2-storey LV store.

Aside from endless shops/boutiques, restaurants and bars were also countless. We went to the side of town (can't remember the name) where outdoor restaurants and bars lit up some long and narrow streets at night.

The people here were sophisticated but nice. One guy on the train gave Kyle an apple (though we threw it away when we got to the hotel to be safe..you'll never know..). But the gesture really impressed us. And their public transportation, the most convenient ever! They have a myriad of trains (which they call trams) that seemed to pass on every street corner. That's what most people use to commute making the city less polluted as less people drive cars.

Basta.... it's hard to express how I really felt about Zurich. I LOVED LOVED LOVED everything about this place and so did my husband and son! We could live here for sure!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Searching for a Quality Web Hosting Provider?

When creating your own personal web site, finding a web hosting company to use can be a difficult, but very important decision. A large part of the decision making process hinges upon one's experience level as well as how much freedom and/or security you would like. For example, there are free hosting providers out there for those who are beginners or do not want to get deep into the process of web design. The catch is that you have to deal with things like pop-ups, which can get annoying. Or you could choose to spend a little money in order to have a higher level of customization options tailored toward all of your needs or desires. But with so many options to choose from, how can you know which ones are the best? Thanks to an online web hosting rating, this is now very easy! You can see the highest rated web hosting providers based on customer satisfaction, affordability, reliability, uptime and techical support. This is an invaluable tool to utilize when selecting the best provider for you, whether you are creating a web site for the first time, or have been at this for awhile and are interested in searching for a new hosting service. They even have numerous articles to give you assistance on many relevant topics, such as increasing search engine visibility, for example, which will make your life even easier! So it looks like a no-brainer to me. I'll definitely be using the Web Hosting Rating site in the future when searching for a hosting provider, and once you check out what they have to offer, you will do the same!

In Conclusion: Rome, ITALY

Rome, Italy was one of the nicest cities we've visited. There's so much to see here and our 3 nights/3 days was certainly not enough to see everything. It reminded us a bit of Barcelona with all the nice and detailed architectures, athough Rome is a lot older while Barcelona has old buildings mixed with modern ones .

Like much or all of Europe, things here are expensive, i.e. a small, thin can of soda at a restaurant close to the Vatican cost around US$7.00 and our meal, 2 whole pizzas, cost us around US$35. The pizza we had was very different from ours here in the US. Its crust was extremely thin and very hard which made it hard to eat. It didn't taste bad though. Most restaurants we saw there were very tiny. There would be one on every street corner mostly with tables on the sidewalks.

The one thing we didn't like there was that it was so hard to find a grocery or convenient store. We couldn't find a place to buy Kyle some apple juice, bottled water or snacks to take to the hotel so we ended up consuming the ones that were in our room's minibar which were kinda pricey. We couldn't find any big shopping center or mall either. What they have there were just small boutiques on the side of the roads.

All in all, it was a very nice city and we would love to go back here.

Rome, ITALY: Day 3

I asked my husband to write this post, as I thought it would be more interesting to hear a non-Catholic's perspective of this event which is very significant for Catholics like me.

Sunday, April 12th was a special day for us. It was, of course, Easter Sunday this year, and we had made plans to walk down to The Vatican (which was only about 15 minutes from our hotel on foot) to watch the Pope deliver his Easter Sunday message. We knew that we would need to get there early in order to get a decent seat, so we arrived over an hour before the service was scheduled to begin. Already at that time there was quite a crowd, but we were able to get a spot that wasn't too bad. Even as someone who is not a Catholic myself, it was an incredibly awe-inspiring experience to be walking into St. Peter's Square on this day, attending the largest Christian service I will likely ever attend in my life. Other than going somewhere like the holy lands in Israel, this really feels like the epicenter of the Christian faith. It was exciting to see the Pope walk in as well, more exciting in fact than seeing the President or anyone like that. The message itself was in Italian, so we coudln't understand it, but that didn't take away from the experience of being there to witness it. Once the service was completed, we were able to go inside St. Peter's Basillica. I am always impressed with the design and sheer beauty inside many Catholic establishments, and this being the grandaddy of them all, it did not disappoint! After we took a walk inside, we headed back toward our hotel, stopping at a nearby restaurant along the way for pizza (of course, being that we were in Italy!) All in all, this day made me realize that I need to get off my lazy tail and go to church more regularly here at home, and this will certainly go down as one of the more memorable experiences of my life thus far!
